About One Ventures

OneVentures is one of Australia’s leading venture capital firms, with over $900M in funds under management. The client is a later-stage Venture Capital Firm, focused on scaling Technology and Healthcare companies through growth equity and credit.

Pain point

One Ventures actively promotes lasting relationships to deliver growth and innovation that benefits everyone. To maintain the trajectory of their growth, they needed stronger team alignment and sustainable high performance.

They have teams across different states, wherein team members come from different generations. They wanted to work better together by fostering intergenerational diversity and to hit targets
without the risk of burnout.

Goal

One Ventures wants its people to work better as one and for the new staff to harmonise with their team.

They also aim to develop high-performance teams that promote trust, collaboration, and sustainable resilience.

Solution

I designed and tailored a comprehensive team-building program to achieve these target outcomes:

Learning Programs

The workshops are designed to equip One Ventures’ team with the tools and strategies needed to achieve the target outcomes. Each session has been carefully crafted to address specific team dynamics and challenges, combining interactive exercises, insightful frameworks, and actionable takeaways.

Uncharted Waters

I developed a rich audio-visual journey (presentation) that allows people to work and learn together. It is a simulation-based learning session where the immersive scenarios encourage healthy debate and shared problem-solving, enhancing camaraderie, communication, and decision-making skills. The collaborative approach ensured delegates retained key insights and behaviours for lasting impact.

Energy for High Performance

To become burnout-proof, delegates learned how to manage their different energy sources. Using the toolkit provided, they identified the causes of burnout and the difference between good and bad stress. I shared with them the 7 steps to building sustainability and becoming burnout-proof. We ended the workshop by developing their own practical ways to reduce stress and prevent burnout.

Growth Mindset Workshop

To align with OneVenture’s passion for innovation, it is essential for leaders and every team member to embody a growth mindset.

In this interactive session, the participants analysed the behaviours of a fixed and a growth mindset and then I shared strategies on how they can develop a growth mindset.

Collaborating to Win

In this workshop, participants took a deep dive into the essential ingredients of high-performing teams, focusing on trust, communication, and mutual accountability. Using a practical team building toolkit, teams identified gaps in their teamwork and explored ways to work better together.

The session encouraged open discussions and leveraged real-world scenarios to foster teamwork, improve problem-solving, and build a stronger sense of unity.

By the end of the workshop, participants walked away with a clear roadmap for enhancing their collaboration, ensuring they are equipped to tackle challenges and achieve collective success.

Grit Workshop

To achieve long-term goals, leaders and teams need to develop grit.

Through a 10-question survey, each team member assessed their current level of grit and identified areas for growth. Together, we explored the four key drivers of grit—passion, perseverance, purpose, and practice.

This workshop is run by resilience speakers offering actionable strategies to build resilience, maintain commitment to long-term objectives, and overcome challenges in both personal and professional pursuits.
