Its nice to have a great line up of speakers and sharp presos… but 99% of the energy & learnings from an offsite are forgotten when we return to the office and are buried in the catchup work.
Thats a given. But what can you do about it?
As a conference organizer/ PCO/ Events person you need to understand your real job is asking: what am I doing to ensure that the conference themes/ info stick when the team head back to the office?
There needs to be a clear action plan on what the conference follow up looks like.
What follows on after the conference? How do you continue the momentum established at the offsite back in the office? What is the 7day/30/60/90 day action plan?
The primary KPI for any offsite should be what stuck?
